seasons of spanking

“When you find the one…”

in spring meadows, dance with me
budding blossoms, throb with bees
run through orchard, of our youth
make me happy, cut bundled switch
bent over stile, will be in truth
raise floral dress, panties at knees
carve your love, creative red lines
my pussy wet, jet cum inside.

in summer sand, swim with me
gather shells, tossing sea
find sheltered cove, kids away
treasure trove, driftwood staves
on all fours, presented high
remove two-piece suit, ass to sky
impart your love, burning stripes
spread my cheeks, hard anal night

in autumn leaves, wrestle me
piled high, leap with glee
under skirt, deep fingers quick
eager hands, collected sticks
relatives inside, need a rest
nude on my back, knees to chest
whip your love, both ends seep
suck hard cock, swallow deep

in winters drifts, support me
a gentle pace, that’s the key
now in bed, they’ll soon be here
put on the kettle, be a dear
before you go, make a wish
hold me tight, sealed kiss
spank your love, were always mine
make love to me, one last time

This is stunning. I don’t think there’s a word out of place – your use of imagery to pic out the seasons of both nature and life left me in awe. And you very successfully made me cry. Truly wonderful.

Thank you Ina. I didn’t plan to combine the seasons of life nor rhyme, but somehow it ended up that way. The ending line came to me during the first stanza so I wrote to meet the end.

Well, whether it was how you planned it or not, it certainly works! I always love it when the end appears to me right at the start. I invariably write to meet the end – in fact, I frequently write the end before I write anything else!

With me, the end usually appears as some vague gaseous being with wings as it/he/she spouts nonsensical non sequiturs as I attempt to be creative. Pesky buggers.

Wings? Oh, I know ALL about wings (I’ve written about little else for weeks!) 🙂

Isn’t it strange how different writers form their stories, be it prose, poetry, scripts, or anything in between? I’d be really interested to hear other writers’ experiences of how their work takes shape.

And, call me nosey, but I’m curious about how people plan their work, too. I rarely, if ever, go straight from thought to paper/screen, but have a variety of pen and paper scribbles that begin as individual words in bubbles, and grow into mind maps. This makes growing any one element of a story easier for me, because I work non-linearly more often than not. If anyone wants to train me to work in a straight line, good luck to them! 🙂

This particular poem was screen start to finish with no paper involved. I write both ways, paper poems/stories and then transcribed, to title first followed by quick screen writing. Flash fiction and timed work is always screen only. Haiku and short poetry is nearly always paper first, whereas longer works I write better on the screen. Linear writing works best for me, but when writing long form fiction – call it superstition – I never write down a word of the ending until I reach the final chapter. It’s all fluttering around in my end. I also don’t write fiction towards a set endpoint, simple let the characters practice various scripts. Inevitably the ending winds up being different from the preferred choice anyway.

Ah, see – almost completely the opposite to the way I work. Apart from novels. I usually know where I want them to go, and I’ll rough out an overall ending that no-one ever sees, but as I’m piecing the book together with ideas that I firmly want to include as markers, at some point the lead-up to the end will occur, and I’ll have a firm grasp on exactly what should happen. There will be some character, some event – something – that triggers how my ending will go. And that will be “the one”.
